NEW State Energy Program Funding Announcement
OEI is now accepting applications under a new State Energy Program Retrofit RFP . Applicants are limited to municipal organizations eligible to issue tax-exempt debt under section 103 of the Internal Revenue Code. These include school districts, cities, counties or other local government agencies, non-profit entities, State of Iowa agencies and the Regent institutions. Projects must be completed by March 1, 2012 and funding must be used for energy efficiency improvements in or on the buildings of the eligible applicants. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all funding is obligated. Eligible projects must be physically located within the State of Iowa, be cost effective, meet the review criteria and comply with all relevant federal, state and local laws or rules.
